He is just so fun and kind-hearted. We are delighted he was able to find summer work (in Nebraska during May and in Maine during July and August). We are equally glad it has worked out for him to come to Japan for three weeks in between his jobs. Tomorrow morning I leave for my ten-day trip to the US. I have an amazing amount to accomplish in the next hours before I leave. I look back with gratitude for all God helped me accomplish at school before the students all dispersed. I'm trusting God to help me again now to think of everything I need to. I think I have Joel all set up to take care of Russ. Thanks for praying for us. Here are some requests: ? Russ and Joel will have a wonderful time together ? Joel will be equipped to do all he needs to ? my trip will go well giving me good interaction with folks at supporting churches and with family Blessings! Joel and Russ got along fine during my absence. Thanks for your prayers! It was a privilege to share what God is doing in our lives with supporting churches in Fremont and Ada, Michigan. I loved spending time with cousins, siblings, parents, and friends. My trip focused on Michigan, but I was able to spend a few days in Indiana to see my folks. Mom is having increasing difficulty remembering things. She was shocked to see me though she had been told many times of my coming. The second day she was surprised all over again. But to keep it in perspective I'll admit that she still beat me at Scrabble. I really would have liked to have seen more friends, but the few days I was there flew by. To make up for this, I've decided you should all come visit us. Smile. Several ladies here in Japan brought meals to help my guys out with meals. They were very grateful! Joel is back in Indiana now and will be driving Saturday and Sunday from Fort Wayne, IN to Maine. We would appreciate your prayers for safe travel especially considering the tiring trip he has just concluded. Christie is enjoying her month stay in El Salvador where she is meeting deaf El Salvadorians and analyzing their sign languages. The best part of the trip was coming home to Russ' smiling face. His smile on our wedding day was pretty spectacular, but his grin has gotten even broader since his stroke. We have a good life together. Blessings, Flossie
