To NJPAC - October 17!

We have planned an exciting educational trip to the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC). The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra is performing a concert entitled Heroes and Heroines that includes music of John Williams, Ludwig van Beethoven, Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Giocchino Rossini, Edvard Grieg, and Aaron Copland.

William Tell Overture
Harry's Wondrous World, (Review)
Scheherazade
Leonore Overture #2, Fidelio
John Henry
In the Hall of the Mountain King

During General Music classes (and any other class that is appropriate) we will begin to prepare the students for this trip. The NJSO has wonderful materials that provide introductory excercises and activities to make the concert understandable and meaningful to all the student.

Be sure your child has returned their signed permission slip with the $6.00 fee for their check to Mr. Rudd or Ms. Washack by Friday October 11, 2002.

  • Full cafeteria service will be offered but lunch times will be slightly altered for this day.
  • This is a special program that requires students to dress appropriately. Please work with your child to choose an outfit that reflects the importance of the event. We specifically ask that no “sweat clother" be worn.
